Mix up some garden dirt with half a cup of washing powder in a bucket with some water dip in an old bit of toweling rub the paste on the rust then hose off then polish with Mr Sheen.

Clean it often with Mr Sheen

Why don’t tyre repair patches stick?
Tubes are not made of rubber anymore. Put the cement only on the tube and wait 20 mins. Put the patch on the tube using a bit of pressure. Leave the plastic/ paper cover on the back of the patch. This stops the patch sticking to the tyre
